More that one sound alert for incoming messages

Hello all,

I have been looking high & low for something ether in an app or custom script to allow for different alerts for different things ie; when Email comes in it one alert, when a txt msg come threw it a different alert, and so on and so on. To me this is something that is missing at the core of android, I mean WM6.1 can do this why can I.

Thank you in advance for your help

Go into messages, menu -> settings -> select ringtone
Go into email, menu -> settings -> select ringtone
Go into settings, ->sound -> select ringtone

Am i missing something?
And if you want to put your own music for ringtones you just make a folder on the sd card called notifications and put them in there, it has to go in a specific folder tho, just google it it comes up a million times

This can be done...inside of the email app go to settings/notifications/ notification sound and pick a tone, then inside of the messaging app go to settings/notifications/notification sound and pick a different tone and so on...

Well if thats the only way to do it, I was looking for something to simplify this process like WM did with a single setting screen and a drop down to organize each alert,

Thank you for your response

I just came on here to search to see if there was an app for something like this...

anything been released for this? An alerts sound menu all in one place? I have to think that would be popular....
