Moto Droid Mutes Mic When Horizontal

Is anyone else having this?.....phone works fine but when I'm on a call and lay on my back suddenly the person I'm talking to can't hear me...I can hear them just fine..and the phone doesn't drop the call. As soon as I sit up works just fine. I've moved it all around to see if it was just the way I was holding it but nothing helps...I lay on my back the other end hears nothing..I sit up..it's fine. Must be something with the accelerometer or proximity sensor?

I think I have this problem, as I just made a call in bed, there was a lot of trouble with the other person hearing me, then a second later fine, second late not hear, so maybe as I was tilting / moving it...?

I have this problem everytime...but it's not even like they can hear me worse when I lay down and better not better as I move it around....when I lay on my back the hear nothing.
