Motorola jsut moved a couple more of its proprietary phone apps to the Google Play Store. You can now find Motorola Assist and Motorola Connect in the Play Store. These are the same versions which are available for the Moto X and the 2013 Motorola Droid series on Verizon. Here's a couple of Google Play Store quotes with descriptions of these apps:
Motorola Assist recognizes when you shouldn’t be bothered, like when you’re sleeping or in a meeting. After hours, it only lets important calls through. It even knows when you’re driving and can automatically play music, announce calls and read out new text messages. You can set actions and exceptions so that they work exactly how you want them to.
Driving mode in Motorola Assist is only supported on:
- Droid Ultra
- Droid Mini
- Droid Maxx
- Moto X (Running Android 4.4, KitKat) ~ Motorola Assist
Motorola Connect allows you to see text messages and calls coming into your Connect enabled phone on your computer’s Chrome browser. You can read and respond to texts using your keyboard and even know who’s calling before deciding if you should reach for your phone.
Motorola Connect requires a Chrome Extension to be installed on your Chrome Browser. You can find the extension here: https://chrome.google.com/webstore/search/motorola-connect/.
Only for devices running Android™ 4.4, KitKat®.
Motorola Connect is supported on:
