With all of the hullabaloo surrounding the hot new Droid Turbo 2, we can't forget that Verizon also announced the Droid MAXX 2, too.
It's not as powerfully built as the hot new Droid Turbo 2, and in fact, it surprisingly has a smaller battery than the Droid Turbo 2, but it seems like it is meant to fill the mid-range market segment. Just as predicted, this device is basically a rebranded version of the Moto X Play.
Here's a breakdown of specs:
- 5.5-inch 1080p display
- Snapdragon 615 processor
- 2GB of RAM
- 21MP camera
- 3630 mAh battery - 48 hour battery life - 8 hours of charge in 15 minutes.
- A microSD card slot
- Android Lollipop 5.1 (with Marshmallow eventually to follow - probably)
The same smartphone trade-in info applies to the Droid MAXX 2 as it does for the Droid Turbo 2.
