Motorola Droid non-used apps keep opening

Why do apps that I never use keep opening? I have a Motorola Droid and Advanced Task Killer. When I open Task Killer, there are frequently apps there that I never use, such as Car Home and Corporate Calendar and apps that I infrequently use, such as Market. I don't know how much resources they use, but how did they open? Is there a way to prevent this from happening?
