Motorola Droid X Keeps Looping an Image of White Motorola M in a Red Circle

This afternoon, i was trying to update my phone to gingerbread using this discussion. I used the patched update with had two zip files for the people who were rooted with 2.3.340. I followed the instructions and downloaded the files, moved them onto my SD card and booting into recovery. Then i tried to install the first zip, but that did not work (I believe I was missing the car dock app). Anyways, i then proceeded to try the part 2 of the zip files and that did work, it warned me that i needed to install part 1 before i left, but then i could not get that to work so i backed out and exited the recover, no problems. Then i went to turn it on and it's been looping a red circle with the white Motorola M inside.

Please help, you will have to take it easy on me as i have no idea what sbf is or none of that other stuff, although i am technologically adept.

Also it will not boot into recovery by pressing the power and home button, i have been disconnected from the computer the whole time.

Please Help

Thank you in advance for you help.
