Motorola has finally decided to allow all devices to enjoy the thrill of the Droid Zapp app. For those of you who are unfamiliar with the previously Droid exclusive app it's function was local sharing of photos. You would open the app which would give you a list of photos. You could then drag up two fingers to create a "virtual sharing zone". Anyone within a certain distance of your GPS location could view and download your shared images. You could also add a pin for added security. Previously any phone could receive photos, but only the Droid Ultra, Droid Mini, and Droid Maxx could send photos. Now all devices are able to send and receive photos. The app maintains the Droid moniker because there are still a few Droid exclusive features in the app. Only Droid devices are able to send files other than photos, and only droid devices have "Zap Zones" which allows users to invite friends to a timed event where any photo taken can be shared between devices. Head to the link for the download.
