Can't seem to get the Motorola Media Link program to come up. There is a motorola icon in the system tray and it says "Change USB mode to Data Connection, Modem or RNDIS" How do I do that?
I was told by Motorola yesterday the MML is not ready to use for the Droid Phone. I am on a list to be informed when the changes to MML are complete and tested. I also could not get MML to function properly
I have had Media Link installed since 11/14 so I disagree with motorola. I did have issues trying to install into XP but I have it running in WIn 7 as I type. I have not tried Vista. I'm not positive but I do believe the blue Moto Task bar icon showed up after the usb drivers had been installed and before Media link. After mounting the sd card( in notifications; tap 'usb connected' then tap 'mount') I get the usual Autoplay options. Media link is not one of them it must be launched. If none of that works as long as the drivers are installed one can simply drag and drop. The Droid will show up in 'my computer' as a removable drive.
ok i have MML and everytime i try to sync my droid with my selected itunes playlist the program crashes and its getting really frustrating to me. also i really need to get some picture off of my droid as well for an ebay auction. the reason i am trying to use that particular itunes playlist is because i have a 76 GB music collection and that playlist has everything i want on it to go on my droid. also i have downloaded media monkey and cant seem to find a way to link up my itunes playlists on there either. if anyone has any help what so ever it would be appreciated
Yes. If you're wanting to download pictures and music from your computer google Double Twist. It's a free program and will download that type of Media to your Droid.
Even better, get the offical Motorola Phone "portal" tool. It blows MML out of the water AND does it all over W-Fi! Not sure why this hasn't gotten more exposure (its an old article) because it works fantastic.
