For the past few months if you wanted to get your hands on the latest Moto X series phone you had to sign up through Project Fi or either grab one of the Moto X4 Amazon exclusive units which came loaded with lockscreen ads. Amazon no longer has the exclusive and you can now pick up a carrier unlocked ad free version of the phone for just $399. This new version doesn't include the Android One software, and does come with Amazon's Alexa pre-installed.
As far as specs are concerned this version is the same as the previously released version. You get a 5.2" 1080p IPS LCD display, Snapdragon 630 cpu, 3GB of RAM, 32GB of storage, micro sdcard slot, IP68 water resistant rating, 3,000mah battery and Android 7.1.1. The phone also comes with a dual lens camera setup. The primary lens is 12mp and the secondary lens is 8mp. The front facing camera is 16mp, and includes it's own LED flash. For now you can buy this device from BestBuy, B&H Photo, or Newegg.
