Move Apps to Card... problems?

Hi All.

I've moved some apps to the sd card to free up memory on the Droid 1.

I'm wondering what happens when I flash and install a new os.
I'm sure that, like a Windows PC, the new ROM won't see those apps on the sd card.
No problem reinstalling.

Is there a way to find those orphan apps on the sd card and delete them so as not to clog up the sd card?

I've just had the same problem with my Bionic. I did a power cycle and all the apps on the SD card were gone. Any clues?

This appears to be a software problem that started occurring nearly 2 month ago. I, personally, had it happen on a rooted OG Droid, an unrooted OG Droid, an unrooted Droid 3, and a rooted Droid 3. This happened to me on the very first day I had my Droid 3.

I just stopped moving apps to the SD card and the problem went away.

I am not sure what, if any resolution has taken place.
