So i i wanted to know if the movie format is the same as the iphone cuz i have a bunch of movies on that format and wanted to know if its the same the droid uses. Also how to add movies??
What I've done is create a file on the sd card called "Videos," then just copied them over from my PC. First you connect your phone to your computer via USB and then select "Mount."
Movie formats are as follows:
MPEG4, H.263, H.264
Music formats are:
MP3, AAC, AAC+, eAAC+, WMA, WAV, MIDI
For what its worth, when I was testing my ripped files on my X, I noticed when I dropped a file on the X, it would ask if I wanted to convert it as well as transfer it over...and it worked great. I also dropped over a normal 700mb .avi rip and it played with no problems.
To load movies, the simple way is to to plug the X in via USB to the PC you are using, and then pull down the Notification Bar, click the USB Connection, and then select USB Mass Storage and then just drag and drop files as you like.
If there is an easier way, I am sure one the Droid Experts here will outline it in a minute or two...
