Moving app files from one device to another

Hello please help
I'm using an app called "Calm" and had to download audio and video files to use it. I want to transfer the app PLUS the downloaded audio and videos to my new device. I don't want to "re-download" the audio and video files (there are too many). I moved the app just fine to my new device but it does not recognise/pick-up the audio and video files from the old device. I tried placing the downloaded audio and video files from my old device into the exact same folder names of my new device, the app still does not recognise them. Please help.

Welcome to the forum!

I'm afraid I don't have much better advice. If you're sure that the file path (folder names) are EXACTLY the same, then I would think that the app should recognize them. Did you have to create those folders, or were they already there?

It's possible that the app won't look for those folders until it's created them itself, but that's a long shot...

Maybe someone else here will have a better idea.

Hello @JenJ . I had never heard of that app before today. Like Jonny mentioned, maybe the app needs to create the folders before you can copy content to them? Maybe one of our forum members is familiar with the Calm app and has some useful advice. In the meantime I did see that the Calm app team has a Contact Us option on their website. maybe send them a message with your question? Since it's their app, I would assume they have all the necessary information related to it.

Thanks Jonny. I think the app created the folders itself, I just copied the videos and audios into the exact same folders
