It looks like developer interest is pretty strong with the Nexus 6P and Nexus 5X. There is already a Multi Tool Toolkit to make normal mods super easy. With the Multi Tool you are able to Unlock your booloader, relock your bootloader, flash a recovery, backup and restore your device.
