Is it just me or is there now way to switch between email accounts using the email app? The only way I have found is to open messaging, then select the account in there among the other "Messaging" accounts.

I don't know why they couldn't have done it like the old email app.

No it doesn't look like you can, which is incredibly annoying because I have 4 other accounts that aren't gmail. Solution was just to forward everything but it kinda sucks.
I think motorola dropped the ball trying to merge all the messaging and social networking we do. I like them seperate and should have the choice to keep them that way.

I Moto an email to find out more about it and see if there is a possible change coming.

I was disappointed with this as well, and only have 2 email accounts to manage.

You can run the Universal Inbox Widget and it will show you any new email from any account in one place. The other option is to run an Email Widget for each account. They are resizable so you can adjust to the size you like. I run one for my personal and one for work on the same screen splitting the real estate between the two.

Yeah that seems like a good idea. I don't really want to waste a screen though. We shouldn't have to come up with workarounds though haha. The app should have a dropdown or something at least, it's embarrassing for them that it doesn't. That is like basic functionality we are asking for. We have multiple email accounts, let us go between them using the email app.

I agree I was simply offering you options to what they call an email app. The stock Gingerbread app worked just fine. Motorola tried to be clever but clearly their software people are not.

I don't know if this will help you buy it was able to setup my wife's D3 with multiple emails.

I created a shortcut to each one on the home screen. Long press and select shortcut, the scroll down and select the first email account you want. Then do the same thing for the other.

The problem becomes that the icons are exactly the same and you can't change it or rename the shortcut to make them easy to identify.

It works but isn't very convenient.

Yeah, it sucks, to have go to email options, and change the default account to the account you want to read email from or send from,

Moto's reply:

There is no option to change the email from one email to the other. However, you can manually change the default email account, please follow the steps provided below:

Go to Email>Default Email Account>Tap the account that you want to use.

So that doesn't help any, haha. This is pretty ridiculous.

Use your messaging widget, the one that looks like a mailbox with a red flag. That will open a menu that allows you to select between email accounts, social networking or text messaging inboxes.

Instead of using "Email" use the "Messaging" app. You'll still have to hit the back button to get to the accounts list, but you can jump back and forth much easier than going into the settings menu.
