Music and podcasts not showing up?

In the regular music app I'm not seeing all the music and podcasts that I dragged and dropped into the system memory on my PC to my phone. I downloaded tunewiki but that only shows all the podcasts as a playlist, and they're out of order. Am I doing something wrong? Do I have to use that HTC sync garbage when I transfer music and stuff?

Don't know if it'll work but try an app called sdrescan from the market.

Are the missing files protected? Nearly 1/3 of my music is and even though file explorier shows the files are on the SD card.
When I open any music app none of these files show up.
