Music App question

Hey I have a lot of games on my droid and well a lot of random media files show up in my music player and i mean a lot so... i was wondering how do i fix this do? is there a music player that could possibly help me not get all of these crappy random media files

A workaround would be to make a playlist

I know with the gallery app, if you put a .nomedia file in a folder, the gallery will not scan that folder for pictures. I'm not sure but I would guess the music app might follow the same rule. A .nomedia file is just an empty, hidden text file whose only purpose is to flag a folder as not containing media.
