The basic android Music app sucks, we all agree on this, however unless you're rooted you're stuck with it on your droid. The problem I'm having is that since I updated to 2.2 it has been hogging the input from my bluetooth headphones' play/pause and track skip controls. The only way I've found to get them to work is to reboot my phone, open the application I want to use (without opening the music app) and then connect bluetooth. If bluetooth is disconnected or I open the music app bluetooth AVRCP input is immediately seized by the music app again, and the only way to get it working with the app I want to use is to reboot again.

Does anyone know a fix for this problem short of rooting to uninstall the music app?

I'm in the same boat here. Using Pandora with a bluetooth speaker, when I use the speaker to initiate a skip forward, it starts a song stored on my phone using the stock music app.
Anyone?
