Music Download Files

I have downloaded song files in the music download folder on the SD card that I can see very clearly when I use a file manager within the devce (i.e.- the thunderbolt), however when I connect the phone to the computer and open the music download folder from the pc, none of the files are visible. Everything else seems visible, such as all the songs in the music folder. When I right click on the folder it does not give me the option to see hidden files. I am running a pc on Windows XP. So my question is, what do I have to do to be able to access these files in the music download folder? Thanks...

did you enable usb mass storage settings in the phone settings?
