Music (from internal storage) stops when screen sleeps - standard player and Winamp

The title pretty much says it all. I was having major issues with my phone in the past week so I did a complete hard reset. Now the phone works beautifully, except for the fact that I can't play my music properly anymore. I have the phone on battery saver mode (but I had it in that mode pre-reset as well without the issue). My Task Manager does not have either the music app or winamp on its Auto-end list. I have no other task killers on the phone. Any thoughts? I checked the other forums and couldn't find anyone else that had their issue answered with the same problem..every other instance seemed to be an issue with auto-end or was resolved by using winamp. Is there any setting within the music player or winamp I might be missing? I couldn't find any.

I don't use win amp but look to see if there is a setting to "keep on top" I had to use this with Poweramp when i used it on my bionic.
