Music pause when receiving texts (fixed)

Not sure if anyone else figured it out but I've seen it repeated a few times. I simply went to ringtone style and set it to 'none'. No more pause.

This is with Handcent.

Thanks for the tip, but that seems more like a workaround as opposed to a fix. With notifications turned off, you won't receive any indication that you have a text message even when the music is not playing. Turning txt notifications on/off every time you listen to music will get annoying...even more so than hearing the music stop for a second I think.

Workaround is more accurate. I'm personally annoyed more by the pausing and figured a few would like the tip. FWIW I'm still getting visual notification such as blinking LED and pop ups.

That's cool if it works for ya! It's all about customization right?

If I was going on a long trip where I planned to stream music to my car stereo for a long time, I'd probably turn off notifications...but for my short car rides, I'll just deal with it until they update the software.
