I really like the functionality of Power Amp too, but it is noisy. May be the eq is adding noise. Winamp is adequate and free. I haven't paid for Power Amp yet - still on trial. Neither one duplicates the UI of an Ipod, but Power Amp is closer.
I finally installed winamp at home last night, uploaded 600+ songs from itunes. Used the wireless sync to copy a few to my DroidX. Playing with it today.
If you want the look of the iPod you need to download bTunes. However the developer abandoned the app months ago so I wouldnt recommend buying it unless you are dead set on the layout.
