mutiple contact lists

i was able to merge most of my double contacts via gmail on my computer, but not all my contacts are showing up in my contact list. i know they are in there because when calling or messaging their info shows up. after trying to add a quick call link on my home screen i found the full list of my contacts and this is where it shows i still have mutiples. any ideas on these 2 different lists and why? and how to add lost contacts to the main list? thanks.

Don't know if this will help but saw this on the Verizon Tech post on this Droid Forum:

- Contacts No Longer in Contacts List

• Go to Contacts > Menu > Display Options.
• Tap on your GMail account to drop down that list
• Check everything in that list
• Back out and they should be in there
• Explanation - Sometimes after a SW update, the contacts groups will go back to default and "hide" some (or possibly all) of your contacts.
