... instead it, like, emulates one?

I can't figure out what's going on with my Droid 2. I got it as a replacement for my original Droid under warranty. The strangest issue I've noticed by far is that it doesn't seem to see my SD card at all. I'm using the 16GB that I originally had in my Droid.

I first noticed that none of my pictures or music from the original phone were visible on the Droid 2 when I booted it up for the first time. I thought that was odd, but figured that maybe it simply formatted the card on first boot. I was disappointed, but I backup often so it was no big loss. However, upon plugging the micro SD into my computer, I discovered all my data was still there! I put it back in the phone, and you can't see ANY of this data anywhere in Astro. Wait, it gets weirder...

In settings, under SD card & phone storage settings? Under SD card, total space is listed as 7.41 GB and available space is listed as 7.40 GB. If I take the SD card out? IT STILL READS EXACTLY THE SAME. There is a /sdcard/ folder in /mnt/, and it has stuff in it, but I can still access it even when the micro sd has been removed from the phone.

Does anyone know what in the HELL is going on? I am completely baffled and I want to use the all this storage space that my 16gb card should grant me, but I can't get my phone to cooperate.

That is weird because I wnet from d1 to d2 and kept my sdcard and all my files are on there including root and rom files. You sure you have the sd card in correctly, clicked usb debugging and click usb mass storage.

Well, I had been wanting to nix motoblur, so I went ahead and flashed Epic Unleashed tonight and that seems to have fixed it. Whatever issues the Droid 2 was having must have been handled by the change in firmware, oddly enough.

thanks for the suggestions, though. gave me somethings to check on
