my droid is not turning on...i downloaded the new update ...completely black

can anyone help???? I just brought my droid a week ago in california, i am now in arizona and i downloaded the new update last night. then i downloaded a song from amazon. the phone went black and will not turn on. I have charged it completely and still will not go on today. any help would be appreciated.

Mine more-or-less did the same thing (like 10 days after I bot it). Returned it to Verizon for tech-check and they immediately replaced w/ a new droid (still working for last 3 weeks). Tech couldn't figure out what happened (or, at least, wouldn't tell me). good luck!

how many times can i return my droid. i had it one day after i bought it in california and had to return it. now i am in arizona and it won't work. completely black screen. oh it did say droid.......so i thought it might work......not. i think i may take it in to verizon. problem is every song you download cannot be saved. i have 5 downloaded songs on this phone. i had 2 on my other one that i turned in............hopefully they will give me a new one.

You could pull the memory card, and use a card reader to save the songs to your computer.

Did you try pulling the battery out, waiting a minute reinstalling and then turning it on? I had that problem once when I updated to 2.0.1 and it refused to turn back on, but a quick battery pull resolved it.

I had this happen one time to me as well. I just pulled the battery out for a few minutes then put it back in and everything has been fine since.
