OK, first off i was to say thanks to TBH for getting us this update. i appreciate what you guys have done for the community, and sorry for the people who ruin your plans for a private release.
So i downloaded the leak late last night and have had some time to play around with it, and trying to get it set up the way i like it. the first thing i noticed, is that it is a pretty significant jump in performance in everything it does. From scrolling, to changing pages, to even download stuff. the skin is actually very nice (i hate the 3g icon tho....first thing to go once we get root) the stock launcher is leaps and bounds ahead of the original DX launcher but still lacks behind LPP/adw/go launcher simple b/c we are forced to use the stock icons which IMO are gross.
The app drawer on the stock launcher, is really nice and allows for groups and allows you to switch between recent and downloaded apps.
there were 4 things i was really looking forward to with the GB update.
1: performance boost....as i said above, i am happy
2: copy/paste.....works great, very happy
3: dithering, you know the bands of color you see with a gradient picture.....not entirely happy, it is better than Froyo, but still a problem.
4: screen off animation....not present on this build of GB...pretty sad that moto would go out of the way to get rid of this. hopefully with root, someone will get this working again.
Edit: this free app gives you the option to do this, cant use power button but it works none the less

as for other apps, my main concern so far is my desktop clock, which opens two programs for me when i insert it in the dock..the stock MM dock opens up and the one i use at night which is night clock donate. it doesn't even give me an option to select one as default.
also, widgetsoid in the notification pulldown does not work. i am going to be looking for an alternative in the mean time. also, minimalistic text does not like to display battery %age in 1% increments....only 10% is supported on GB i guess
overall, "gingerblur" is actually pretty awesome. there are a few things that bother me but i am assuming it is b/c not everything is GB compatable right now. battery life seems to be on par with my APEX 1.4.1 rom which was pretty amazing. but that was just playing with is constantly for about 2 hours and not having the battery drop out of 30% :icon_eek:
am i happy i flashed this: absolutely
are there things i would change: you betcha
would i recommend this to the masses....definitely, bloat sucks, but there are ways to get it out of the way until a proper way to delete it is achieved.
i will be running this until an official OTA update is available, so if you have any questions, let me know and i will do my best to answer them.
