My introduction and a query

Well I have never actually tried one of these forums as a member, always lucked out and found what I needed, however, I have hit a dead end. I use a samsung galaxy axiom from uscellular, running jb 4.1.2 with root. I acheived root via Impactor and luck lol, but I have been unable to find a custom rom for my phone model, sch-r830. Am I just a dumb ass and not aware that I can use any rom, or do I need one specifically designed for my device? I had a huawei from straight talk, before the asphalt took it, and was running cyanogen 7 or something similar and really enjoyed the customization allowed through the custom rom and would like to enjoy that freedom again. any help will be supremely appreciated!

Welcome to the forum. To the best of my knowledge, ROMs are device specific. I'm sure one of the more technical peeps will be by to confirm.

Welcome to the forum. . I'm not familiar with your device. . But if rooted you can use Xposed to mod plenty of things on it. .

just a quick google search didnt turn up much for a custom built rom for your device. like bk said though, if you're rooted, go ahead and look into xposed - this has a lot of ROM features by installing modules and tweaking what you want.

best to make a backup in custom recovery first
