My new DNA screen randomly blacks out

It makes me cry, my new DNA is my first smartphone and I got it for christmas
I have not dropped it and it has case and screen protector
The screen has gone black and had the gray vertical lines four times in 5 days

I took the case off once and the screen popped off a little but it snapped right back on

I called Verizon but I can't stand them, they are so rude and don't give you a chance to talk or make a decision
I need help badly this phone is brand new and I love, I wanted it to last two years without any problems but that's not possible now.

Please help I'm desperate

I found a glitch, not sure if it just my device try it if you have a DNA

Open the camera and keep pressing the app switcher button

If there is a problem with it return it and get a new one. Its still under warranty.

I'm pretty sure it's a bug only happens in the camera app when I keep pressing app switched and it depends on the lighting in the room it has to do with the camera or imageSense

I emailed HTC and they said they know of this problem and will fix it in a future update.

I don't have this issue with my Dna.
