My phone deletes my texts..

I love my Droid Eris, but it has a problem that I just cannot stand. It will randomly delete all my text messages. Even my locked messages. It's a commonly occurring problem and happens at least once every two weeks. Sometimes, it happens more than that.

Seems to happen to Droids. Some don't have it happen at all, others it's not an issue.

I'd download handcent or chomp from the Market to see if this helps.

I had Handcent for some time and I thought it was nice but it got incredibly annoying. Ill try Chomp and see if that works. Thanks for the advice.

i've had this happen to my BB Pearl before. i might be a network thing. i've seen it happen before my eyes. never found out the reason for it. very odd.

I've heard a lot about this but only ever had it happen twice since owning my Droid (got it in early December). Once in the first couple months; then once again just a couple weeks ago. Very strange indeed. Not a big deal for me but perfectly understandable how others might find it frustrating and given it's one of modern day phones' primary functions, it should be high up on the fix list in my opinion.
