My phone freaked out, unassisted...

I don't post much here, I mainly just read ALOT.

My phone just like, freaked out. It was being charged straight from my computer, and the screen lit up, and my "home charge screen" went all weird. It lasted for a few moments, but it was groovy looking with great night big buttons.

I did manage to get the name of it... and it was the "Multimedia" page or something or other.

Anyone else have this happen to them?!

your phone encountered a magnetic source, which kicks off that app. find dockrunner in the market. it does the same thing.

your hard drive is driven by a magnet. it could have caused the disruption.

Magnetic force 8 feet away? Really? *face palm*. Yes because my laptop has such a magnetic force of doom happening.

There was nothing wrong with the screen, it just went all crazy, and switched on me. Had big numbers for the clock. Smaller (but still large) icons on the bottom, complete with my location and my local weather.

i guess you didn't read my post. the multimedia dock is invoked by a magnet. it's possible that your phone somehow came in contact with a magnetic source, or a power fluctuation ocurred that wasn't filtered through the USB cable.

either way, what you experienced was the multimedia dock app.

download dockrunner, you'll see it again.

Exactly, you saw the Multimedia Dock app. It is used for a night stand style clock. The Droid has two sensors in the back that can be activated by magnets. One turns on the dock app and one turns on Car Home.
