my phone just erased itself... weird

while hanging up on a call my phone froze for a sec and when it unfroze all my contacts and call logs were empty. i freaked out before realizing all i had to do was sync back to google to get my contacts back but i thought it was weird. anyone experience this?

Is it possible it was in mid sync to Google? I dont know about the droid, but on my Treo, if I had it set to replace the handset contacts with my PC contacts, it would remove them first, then load a new copy. I only caught it mid load maybe 3 times in 2 years, but it was plenty unnerving when it did it.
