So I am encountering my first problem with my new droid. Today I noticed it would notify me that I had a voicemail, yet my phone never rang. I updated my roaming and what not and that didn't fix it.

I have two other verizon phones (both storms) on verizon and I have a company phone through sprint. I sat and called all my phones just to make sure I wasn't in a dead spot and all of my phones rang except my droid (it rang like 1 out of 5 calls). It didn't kick straight to voicemail when I called it.

Has anybody else had this problem and if so what did you do to fix it?

I had a similar problem once with my Palm Centro. I left on vacation and noticed when I was about 200 miles from home my phone would not receive calls. I could make calls and send and receive texts, but not receive calls. I tried updating my roaming adn all that but it wouldn't work. My wifes Centro worked just fine, so I called Verizon CS with her phone and spent about a hour trying to get the problem figured out. It worked fine after that.

Your problem sounds different though because you said you received at least 1 call...so who knows.

Funny.....I just had this exact same thing happen while I was reading this thread.

I've had this happen very infrequently, maybe 5 times or so.

I noticed it happened whiel I was doing something else though (such as web browsing). Were you using the phone while this happened?

Nope...wasn't using the phone. Today it seems ok. I "test" called it about three times and it rang everytime. Maybe it was a network thing. I will keep paying attention to it and see.

Other than that I am SOOOOO glad I made the switch from the storm. This is a great toy!

I had this happen a couple of times. I turned on the phone and saw the missed call notification icon, but the phone never rang. I tried to test it by calling myself from other lines, but I couldn't reproduce the problem. Oh well.
