My Thunderbolt thinks that its in Liberia

I am using the HTC weather widget on my home screen. Every so often, when it updates, my location changes to Monrovia, Liberia. This also changes the time on the widget and on the status bar at the top. When I toggle airplane mode on and off, it will correct itself for a time, then go back to Monrovia. I have all 3 location services turned on. Has anyone else experienced or have a fix for this?

I was just going to post about the same problem!! My TB is telling me I'm in San Fran but I'm really in NY. I have everything checked...same as you too.

I have heard lots of reports about this problem, is it just the widget giving you the problem? Also have you tried power cycling it?

My sister in law txt me this morning.. She lives in NY and hers told her she was in Bosnia.. she said after a few minutes it refreshed and was fine.. Mine here in FL no problem..

I switched to Beautiful Widgets from the market, and no more problems. Weird.

I went to beautiful widgets and have the same problem. Uninstalled BW and went back to the stock widget just cant get it to take my town. On a side note how do I get a refund for BW I uninstalled it through the market is that all I do or is there something else. It was installed les than an hour.

Bad news.. return window only 15 minutes...

Hmmm...I uncheched the "auto" box & everything works fine now.

just delete the widget then put it back and when you put it back it will ask for your location and then fix it there. And also make sure you location settings are on and GPS and all that

I was noticing this too. Though mine wasnt quite as bad. Its only off by like 30 miles or so.
