Naming a Folder

Greg

Member
Hi!

On my Droid 1, am I able to name a New Folder anything I want, like Games?

I can see how to create a new folder, but not name it.

Can anyone help me?

thanks!

To my knowledge, the only way you can organize your app draw is to use ADW launcher. Android is very different than Windows Mobile in this aspect of organization. ADW will have that feature for you tho.

If your just looking to name a folder games on your SD card, then us ASTRO file manager to do that.

Hope this helps

Sure u can, just drop a new folder, open it and long press the title of it. It will open the title and let you type whatever you want.

WOW! I could have sworn I tried that a dozen times!

Thank you!

Folders not opening

I made a few new folders, renamed them, dropped a bunch of apps in each one.
Every once in a while I can't open one of the folders...different ones at different times. Then later on I can open it.... without rebooting

Any ideas?

I am familiar with the issue and it made me stop using folders. Never found a reason or a solution for it.

DOH! And Thanks!

I could swear that I'd tried (and failed) this as well but after reading your advice, sure enough, that silly little Folder let me change it's name. Phew! :)

Thanks!
