Navigation is to bright at night

Does anyone know if there is a setting or an app to darken the screen for night time navigation.
I have the screen brightness down as low as it can go but on dark roads the screen is to bright, it messes up my night vision.
It is ok for city driving but way to bright on a country road at night.

Thanks if any of you have a solution.

Try the app called screen filter. Its not exclusively for navigation, but it will accomplish what you're wanting done.

You can add apps to the car dock home screen for the Droid 3. I added the app 'Screen Brightness', among others, to the card dock of my Droid 3. You should add 'screen filter' to the car dock home screen.

It never occurred to me to add to the car dock thank you.
