Ok i recently broke my droid x and cannot get it replaced because of root. So on amazon i seen the droid 3 for $150.00 but if I buy that will I be able to use it since i have a 2 year contract with verizon? And if so do I just go in to vzw and ask them to switch phones?

Thats for a new contract. You will need to buy a phone at full price, or try swappa.com or ebay.

the droid 3 from amazon if you dont have an available upgrade to use is $599.00..... like Guidot said swappa or ebay is your best bet. You might be able to find a droid 3 on there for about 350 bucks or so.

If you're rooted why don't you just unroot your phone? Find a stock image of the OS you're currently running and flash it. I've done it before on my original Droid.
