Need better e-mail app for Hotmail

I upgraded my e-mail app to K-9, but it isn't showing that I have new mail until I actually open the app and hit "check now" I don't understand why, because it shows in the notification bar that it is checking my account.

Has anyone had success with an app for a hotmail account?

I would help but I don't use hotmail so I wouldn't know. As far as I know K-9 is the best and only out there.

That is a shame because K-9 sucks. It doesn't notify that I have e-mail until I manually go in and check it. It also doesn't mark items as read on hotmail.com :sad:
