Need For Speed Shift fails on Gingerbread too

I decided to check out some other apps I have that rely on accelerometer data to see if they work/fail and, like Google Sky Map and Google Maps, I now see that Need For Speed Shift (the full version I bought while on Froyo) starts up but force closes when I try to play it on Gingerbread.

Looking up in other forums on this, it appears others seem to have this problem too.

Gingerbread sure broke a lot!
