Need help ASAP before I break my Bionic in 2!

Guys this thing is such a pain.I have it set to cmda only now, because when i set it to cdma/lte it literally just stays, after hard reboot and airplane toggle, with no service. Like it will have all 4 bars, however there is no 3g or 4g symbol next to the bars, even after 10minutes. Now my house is covered by 4g, but it just sits, with bars but no symbol next to them. How can i fix it, so it connects to 4g right away, or do something? will rooting my phone fix it? plz help me, plz, sick of being frustrated over this.

no matter what i do, restart, airplane mode, anything, when its on cmda/lte, it does not find 3g or 4g, but right when i switch it to cmda it finds 3g, and i do have 4g cause my aircard gets 4g, same carrier.
