Need help deciding

I have an OG Droid, PE, honeycomb theme, running at 1.1ghz and I absolutely love the thing, it flies.

However, I have very large hands and my droid gets kind of annoying to handle at times. I also like to watch a lot of videos and the screen is fine, but I'd enjoy it to be bigger.

I don't have an upgrade for over a year and I'm on a fairly limited budget. Would it be worth it to pick up a used Droid x for $200-$350? and how much will the price roughly drop when the DX2 comes out?

Also, will verizon activate it if I bring it in rooted?

my opinion:

wait for newer phones to come out. theres gonna be plenty and im sure all current phone prices will drop significantly.

and you dont need to bring the phone into verizon to activate it. you can do it yourself

Reason I ask is I've never bought a used phone. How can I switch service over from my D1?

just call theme and tell them you have a new phone that you want to switch your service to. theyll ask for your account info to verify who you are and then the info for the new phone and then youll have to call *228 to activate and youre done! its really simple. i think you can even do it online now
