Need help! Droid 2 stock recovery

Tried loading apex 1.4 for my friend. Boots ok but dont have data or service. Cant sign in to his google account because it has no data. Anybody know the steps to get to stock recovery so i can load the backup?

Found it if anybody else needs it.

You need to get into clockwork recovery to restore a backup if you made one. The stock recovery ain't go to help you. _
