Need help getting text messages off of Droid X

I just upgraded to a Galaxy S3 today and the guy at the store did not transfer all my texts to my new phone. Is there any way to retrieve them off my deactivated phone and put them on my new one? I have some pretty important texts that I need as well as some that are just meaningful to me personally. I would really appreciate some help in getting these off my deactivated Droid X.

Try SMS Backup & Restore. It's a free app. Should do the trick.
