Need help Rooting Droid running 2.2 FRG22

Hello all.

I recently acquired a Droid 1 and am trying to root it. It is running FROYO 2.2 build FRG22.

I have manually rooted my (now my wifes LOL) Droid 2--I am having trouble finding which method to use for the original droid running 2.2.

I have searched, and there is almost too much info floating around, thus the confusion.

I really just want to run cyanogen...and maybe some other stuff LOL (it is a sickness, isnt it?)

Any direction that you all could provide would be very much appreciated...i feel like a dolt having to ask, but I am a bit confused.
