Need help rooting Droid X via sbf

I had a rooted original droid and just went to the X. I OTA to 2.3.3 596 with no prior root. I know, I did it without research, I sux.

So far I tried gingerbreak with no luck. So I flashed SBF via RSD lite 4.8. successfully. To get into recovery I have to hold the home key, power key, then get the ! and press both volume keys. What I do not like is you can not create a back up from this recovery.

So what next? I need to gain root via some update.zip file???

You will have to SBF back to 2.3.340 root using z4root, install recovery and then use the 2 part zips to get to rooted GB.
