Im/ not sure If I'm posting this in the right section, but idk, with that said I would like to know if anyone has had a problem having the custom frequencies not working, as if the rom is denying it or has custom settings that are overriding the new settings,. Can anyone help me on this. Thanks

um i have the rom that is in my custom signature, it is ERE51 and idk how to install a kernel on my phone. im sorta new at this

can you mix diferent ROMs with Different Kernels? sorry for aasking soo many questions haha

http://www.droidforums.net/forum/ch...s-low-voltage-medium-voltage-3-25-2010-a.html Some reading. You don't have to use these kernels, but how to install is in the first post
and how do you become premium member lol
Good question. I was grandfathered in so I don't know!

Yes you can mix and match. Some work, some don't. Most ROMs will point on what kernels you can use with it.

thanks for the help but it seems liek the rom has set the clock speeds already but i want the ones that i put on the sd card to work. do you understand what i am tryingn to say now, cuz i was kinda unclear and hard to follow before sorry.

Make sure the kernel you downloaded is compatible with your ROM, then using the update.zip method install the kernel.
The SetCPU text file isn't a kernel. Different kernels have different slots to choose from.
Open SetCPU and make sure you select AUTO-DETECT. Then just set your profiles and you should be good to go.

Well his home page only mentioned that a 1.1 Ghz kernel was one of the installation options. It did not list the slots. But I would bet it is a 5 or 7 slot kernel with preset clock speeds at 250, 550, 800, 900 and 1100 or something similar. When you select the autodetect option, it will detect those slot speeds and you will be able to then set your phone's speed for any one of the available speeds. You can play change the effect speed of the cpu by playing around with the settings in Advanced. But I would not recommend that unless you really know what you're doing.

Good luck.
