Need Help with Phone Contacts

Hello All and thanks for reading,

So I just got this phone today. I reloaded all my contacts. However, I noticed something different from my previous phone (the Motorola Droid).

Basically, on the original droid when I clicked on a contact with multiple numbers (mobile, home, etc.), I would be presented with options of which number to call.

On the HTC, I only get that option when I use the "people" widget and not when I scroll through my contact list on the "phone" widget. When I use the phone contact list and select a name, it calls the contact's primary number. Is there a way to make the HTC prompt for which number to call each and every time??

Also, I have most of my contacts saved with an area code. But if I dial a contact's number without an area code (say, a local number), it does not show I am calling the contact.

For example, if I dial 205-555-5555 it shows calling John Doe. If I dial just 555-5555 it will call John Doe, but will not show his name on the call screen. (I hope that makes sense).

THANKS IN ADVANCE FOR ALL THE HELP!!!!

-Max
