Need some help please. Problem with laggy Droid

Hey guys, any help would be very much appreciated. I am currently running Droid Mod and my homescreen and actions I do with the phone are pretty laggy at times. I switched back to stock 2.0.1 and everything was running smooth again except my 'market' was gone completely. Any ideas??
