need some help with new rom

need some help on restoring my apps to my phone after i install new rom..i have got titanium backup but a little unsure about how to get to it after i flash new rom and also im a little worried about losing my contacts is there somewhere i can put them

Market apps and contacts are linked to your google account. Both will auto download after u sign in to your Google account
