Network error has occurred

I've been getting a lot of these network error messages lately when trying to access the web or marketplace on my Droid. Usually the battery is somewhere around 50% when this happens. Any idea why this is happening, or how to remedy?

That has happened to me a couple of times, and it was because I lost the data connection for some reason, maybe it didn't recover from a temporary loss of signal. Turning the phone off and back on restored it.

I have seen this happen when the phone is switching between 3G and WiFi. Normally I just wait a few seconds for the network to sort itself out and then try again.
