There is a new mystery statue at Google HQ. They added a chrome colored Android statue to one of their windows. They haven't shared any details on what this new sculpture could mean, but it obviously gets the imagination wandering. Here's a quote from the Google+ post by Google Employee Paul Wilcox,

A new version of Android has been released!

(In statue form.) :-D

This metallic Android statue was recently mounted on one of the buildings near the center of Google's Mountain View, CA campus. For those of you who know the campus well, it's on Building 45 (the building across the street from B44, which is known for all of the Android dessert statues).

Photo taken on a Galaxy Nexus and edited with Snapseed for Android.

What do you guys think the statue portends?

I think it has something to do with a new upcoming device :)...how is that for vague LOL...

What the hell? When did that go up? I was just there Friday and I didn't see that!

I think it has to do with maybe a new version/type of google chrome for android or.....like what was already said, a new line of high end chrome books.

Since it ain't green there goes my key lime pie theory

A Rezound phone was used for this Tapatalk post

I think this is a new Chromebook/Android tablet device to compete head-to-head with Microsoft Surface.

It would include a touchscreen, keyboard, and be convertible from tablet to web-book/laptop mode via connecting the keyboard.

I read this was a possibility and this "Chrome Android" seems to make sense.

That Motorola X we keep talking about...
