Hi, I have two questions. One, how do you get the red thing with the white dot (Droid logo)as a background and how do I download movies? Iphone has itunes. I know the droid has to have an app that can do the same. Thanks.

movies: im not 100% sure if you can play itunes movies on android, but you are more than able to convert your own DVDs to an android playable format

Welcome to the Forum.

The Droid eye wallpaper is in the gallery.

I use catalyst DVD to rip my own movies. You can mount the sdcard and drag an drop the movies from your PC.

The way i transfer movies is by mounting the droid and than drag and drop.

Mounting the droid is done by connecting the droid to PC via USB and than sliding down the notification bar. Click on the part that says "USB Connected" and than hitting Mount. Droid should now show up in Explorer.

If you prefer the familiarity of iTunes, you have iTunes Helper, or DoubleTwist for options. DT offers a movie converter when you DL their software, but I haven't played with it. I'm not a fan of iTunes really, but I already had playlists built in it when I got the Droid. DT was great, (altho slow) with simplistic syncing of just the playlists I chose rather than my entire library, or manually filtering through various folders to drag and drop. Had issues with DT recognizing my kids generic mp3 player, so I grabbed Itunes Helper, and that worked out well.
